Ella’s Echoes is a new space for old things — vintage postcards, reprinted as greeting cards. Each one includes not just the image, but the original message handwritten on the back: a small voice, a passing moment, a trace of someone real.

It started with a discovery. In addition to the postcards Ella displayed for holidays, thousands more were tucked in drawers and trunks throughout her Midwestern home. The collection likely began with Ella’s mother. Friends, family, and neighbors added more. Ella took on the role of preserving them.

Now, the collection keeps growing. These are moments—stories, news, announcements, ads. Glimpses of everyday life, sent and saved. Each card reflects the sender and the time.

The current keeper’s mission is to share them—through printed reproductions that help fund a searchable public archive.

This project is just getting started. Feedback is welcome as it grows.
